What you need to do in Křivoklát:
- first of all, you need to come here!
- go to the observation deck
- buy some wonderful mead (it’s an alcoholic drink with 18% alcohol by volume. By the way, I haven’t seen it anywhere else except here!) and candles made of natural wax! And for honey lovers, there’s also honey with nuts, poppy seeds, and other treats
- Climb the little staircase from the inner courtyard up to the tower — it’s completely free — and it’s just as good there as on the Great Tower.
The castle is visible almost immediately — as soon as you step onto the path from the station.
This must be something very valuable!

There was an exhibition of strikingly beautiful photographs in the castle.
This building was once used as a brewery, but what it is used for now is unknown. It’s a pity the brewery is gone.
You can climb up the little staircase to another tower.
