Nauchny village is the highest-altitude settlement in Ukraine. The Crimean Observatory is located here. A total of about 420 people work at the observatory. Nauchny has its own shops and a hotel.
The tour is held around 8 p.m. We arrived much earlier. We enjoyed walking around the town. The silence and peace here were soothing. It was hard to believe that we were in Ukraine. By the time of the tour, there was noticeable activity around Nauchny. Grandmothers with pies came out onto the street (and, by the way, they were very tasty), ladies with souvenirs... Buses and cars began to arrive. Quite a crowd gathered. Then a lady appeared; she collected the money (30 UAH per person) and sorted people into groups for different guides.
Our group was lucky, and we even saw a piece of the moon through a telescope.
