A bay in the south of Koh Lanta
First we swam in a small bay, even with a mask and saw a few fish. Though today there were waves and the water was murky. Then we drove on.
We weren’t able to make it all the way to the end; that’s where the national park begins, and the Thais charge no less than $6 for entry — practically just to access one beach…. Even Europeans didn’t want to pay, it looked quite funny, everyone would drive up to the barrier, see the price, and leave…
We returned to the long beach we had spotted on the way. I found two beautiful shells. We swam. A light rain started. We decided to head home little by little.
On the way we stopped in a village to eat. Food prices here are sky-high (especially for Thailand). We had pad thai at a rock café; it was expensive but tasty.
