Puerto Calero - Papagayo Beach

Lanzarote 2019

Itinerary

For breakfast, Volchiy bought us croissants and yogurt (very close to our boat, there is a supermarket on the town’s main square).

After breakfast, we head to Papagayo Beach. It is considered the most beautiful beach in Lanzarote. And in principle, that is almost true. They even made a piece of mainland with the beach into a national park and charge 3 euros for entry. The last 10 kilometers are along a dirt road.

A strong wind was blowing, and at first it seemed that we wouldn’t even lie here for 10 minutes. But then we somehow got used to it. And we had a great time sunbathing and swimming.

We returned to our floating home. We drank beer. In the evening we went for another walk along the waterfront. It’s very windy here today.

The little town of Puerto Calero is simply magical (as usual, we didn’t really take any photos...), everything here is made with such love — even the ficus trees stand in planters right on the street. And the main square, the cafés, and the marina — the atmosphere is truly enchanting.
