After Macwoods, we went to the neighboring tea factory — Blue Hills. The guide there was better. He explained and showed how tea is dried at the factory, showed the machine that rolls the tea leaves, and the place where the tea is rested and fermented.
After the factories, we set off on our way; according to plan, we were spending the night in Haputale. On the way, we stop at a very stylish café with good music. We eat fried rice there and continue along the deserted road.
In Haputale, we spend a very long time choosing a hotel. Everything here is somehow terrible and expensive. In the end, we decide to stay in a house on the outskirts of town. We choose the most expensive room — with a large window offering a beautiful view of the mountains.
For dinner, the hotel owner prepared rice with curry (for an extra charge, of course :).
We have dinner in the hotel lobby with the other guests — a couple from Slovakia and a girl (who looks very much like a guy) from South Korea.
