Such a creative piece near the old castle.
If you decide to go to this pleasant little town, keep in mind that there are interesting museums here dedicated to mining.
There are two museums:
1. Bartolomej Gallery - the museum is located just outside the town. Before you descend underground into the actual mines, you will be given flashlights and overalls. Information in Slovak can be found here
2. Glanzenberg Gallery - this museum is smaller. It is located right under the city center! Information in Slovak can be found here
To our great regret, we read about these so tempting museums only after we got home....
Among other things, the town is surrounded by an old water supply system. It consists of magnificent lakes with clean water, the only difference being that the lakes were built by people in the 18th century. Alas, we didn’t see the lakes either. But they say it’s worth seeing. And here is what we did see....

Such a creative piece near the old castle.

Almost the city center. We left the car here. In the background is the Old Castle.

Top view :)

The city is notable for having two castles. They are called the Old and the New. The New Castle is ahead. It now houses a museum dedicated to the battles with the Turks. And earlier, the castle served as a watchtower. The castle was built in 1564–1571, at the height of the wars with the Turks.

And here is the Old Castle from afar.

Central Square.

Such a little town....

Pest Column.

An empty house... without windows, with dark corridors.

And here is the castle....

And this is it.

And this is even a castle, only inside. We never did understand whether it was possible to go in there or not. Some kind of work was in full swing inside. In one hall musicians were rehearsing something, in another they were painting the walls, in a third they were discussing something. I liked the old chests standing on the staircase. It was interesting....
