Berlin turned out to be almost by accident for us. This time we decided to travel across Germany “from top to bottom” and thought, “How can we pass by the Berlin Wall?” In addition, 40 kilometers from Berlin we found a place we really wanted to see.
Oh, yes, and one more thing. We had a rather specific task in Berlin. We found a great camera store there with a promotion that suited us. The task, in fact, was to buy a camera with a lens. The store exceeded all expectations. First, it constantly has some very favorable promotions. Second, it also sells old cameras, lenses, flashes, and more.
We stayed here. The hotel turned out to be very decent. It is located a 10-minute walk from the metro. We booked one night through Booking for 40 euros. But we arrived a night earlier and stayed in the “for the poor” room, for 25 euros, with a shared shower in the hallway and a very small room with a sink. But for that price, expecting anything better in the capital would have been ridiculous.
And so, Berlin.

The metro in Berlin. The very one near which we stayed. For some reason, this station also turned out to be one of the most beautiful. The others are much worse.

Metro map.

The Berlin Wall, built in 1961 and demolished in 1990, was 155 kilometers long. This is a section of the wall, 1.3 km long, left as a monument.... Some of the drawings on the wall are beyond praise...

Flea Market

Monument to Soviet soldiers. Eternal flame burns.

Brandenburg Gate at Pariser Platz

These huge balloons were being inflated near the gate.

The Reichstag is a historic building that now houses the Bundestag, Germany’s representative body. The Reichstag was built in the style of the Italian Renaissance in 1894. The inscription above the entrance was cast from bronze from French cannons and reads "To the German People".

Admission to the Reichstag observation deck is free and open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. But the queue is amazing..... By the way, there are also tours of the Reichstag. Alas, I don’t know anything more detailed.

Modern Berlin

The beer garden Prater, one of the most famous in Berlin among the local population. They brew their own beer here - light Pils, dark, and wheat beer. And you can also try Radler - beer with Sprite. The place is very colorful.
