The castle from afar (to see something like this, you need to follow the route to the “Marian lookout” — a great viewpoint)
One of the best impressions of the Czech Republic is this castle!
Perhaps because we lived here and it somehow became like home.
Or perhaps because there is a forest all around and in the evenings you can walk among rocks and tall pines.
Or maybe because for the first time in my life I lived in a real castle...

First acquaintance with the castle — this is how it appeared to us on that first evening when we were looking for it

Stone bridge, with a moat below.

Figure on the stone bridge.

The windows of the hotel rooms that overlook the castle courtyard directly

In honor of our arrival, they lit this huge bonfire! Just kidding, of course — we were simply lucky, and on the day we arrived there was some kind of celebration, with an entire event taking place at the castle — with a bonfire, Baba Yaga, the Headless Horseman, and other dangers)

This is what the entrance to the restaurant looks like. The restaurant is great and cozy. The food is delicious, and some Czechs come here especially to try the dishes at this restaurant.

Wandering through the castle, we stumbled into a hall like this...

Castle building - rooms are also available for rent here.

At breakfast. Breakfast was in a cool big hall with huge windows!

This is what the “bottom” of the castle on the rocks looks like.

Valley of Rocks. As I already mentioned above, around the castle there are forests with rocks like these... There are many of them, and they are all different and all beautiful.

And here’s the scary little staircase... Of course, the wolf-dinosaur climbed up it, which he was not very happy about. But he still climbed down alive )

View of the castle from the rock reached by the aforementioned little staircase (the photo was heroically taken by Volchezavr).

A strange structure — located below, in the town. I believe it is some part of the castle — now half-ruined.

The small but very cozy and charming town of Hrubá Skála from a bird’s-eye view.
