January was a month of shopping. First, our new knives arrived!
Volchiy chose and ordered German knives from Wüsthof (Wikipedia says that the Wüsthof company was founded in 1814).
So our long-held dream of having good knives came true! The knives are made in Germany, in the town of Solingen, not far from Düsseldorf.

I was very afraid to use them at first. They’re so incredibly sharp!!
Now I’m used to them. Although the largest one still scares me. And Wolf, on the contrary, likes it the most.
A few days later, a magnetic hanger for the knives arrived, very convenient :)

For the first time in my life, I made my favorite Adjarian khachapuri for us!
It turned out very beautiful and delicious. I was very proud of myself!
In the original, you need suluguni cheese. Of course, there’s no such thing here, so I came up with mixing feta with mozzarella.

Volchiy ordered clever fitness bands that help you do pull-ups.
For the first time in my life, I was able to do a pull-up :)

At last, the long-awaited new laptop for Volchy arrived. We ordered it a month ago!
Volchy also decided to switch to Mac. Apple released a laptop with a new super processor. In the reviews, everyone wrote that it was something incredible.
There is indeed some incredible quality in it, but we believed the reviews and bought the less powerful one. Later it turned out that its power was indeed a bit lacking.....

I thought long and hard about the birthday cake for Volchy. The day before, I went to the store for candles and heart-shaped decorations for the cake. This is how it turned out! Beautiful, but it could have tasted better....
Wolf makes a wish
On the evening of January 22, we drank wine and watched the Disney animated film "Soul" (which, surprisingly, I really liked)

On January 21, on Thursday, Volchiy passed the driving test. And on January 29, he got his driver’s license!
This is one photo, but a very long and difficult journey….. Getting a driver’s license in Germany, even if you already have a Ukrainian license and know how to drive, is an expensive matter that requires a great deal of effort. Proud of Volchiy!

On the last weekend of January, we went to the outskirts of the town of Wuppertal to look at a car for Sergey Mikhailovich.
The weather was not very good. It was cloudy. But we were happy to go somewhere.
The town itself turned out to be very charming. A suspended tram runs here from the center of Wuppertal. This is what the suspended railway looks like. It is the oldest operating suspended monorail in the world; it was built all the way back in 1901.

The car turned out to be very worn out, all battered and scratched.
But in the photo it looks solid, of course :)
