In the city, we’ve already wandered through all the streets and alleys. We spend the whole day lounging in the room. Volchiy is studying English, and I finally finished a bit more work on our website, so now I’m sitting here adding the diary to the internet and sorting through photos.
The photos from this camera turn out kind of bad, they don’t convey the true beauty at all. And I seem to be taking a lot of pictures, but still, for example, I haven’t found a beautiful photo of the Jaisalmer fort… Oh well, the main thing is that all this beauty and the fairy-tale feeling stays in my memory. And photos are just for refreshing the memory and for history. It’s impossible to travel around India with a DSLR, especially if you’re going for a long time and moving around as often as we are.
We went out for a snack at a familiar place and had delicious fried pastries.
I feel like I’m already getting used to India. That’s both good and bad. The cows walking along the road no longer scare me, and I’m no longer surprised by the dirt and stench. I wonder when their fairy-tale palaces and forts will stop surprising me…
Instead of dinner, we bought two bottles of beer and chips — an unheard-of luxury for India, since a 0.66 bottle of beer here costs from 110 rupees (35 UAH) in specialty stores.
